Jose Mourinho survives crisis meeting with Chelsea board

Published Add your comment

Jose Mourinho might not be able to buy a win for Chelsea currently but he’s still got enough in the tank to survive a crisis meeting. According to the Daily Mail the Special One convened with board members following the loss to Southampton, and has been told that he has the full support of the powers that be at Stamford Bridge. Roman Abramovich is far from happy with recent results but Mourinho is Mourinho after all, and it appears it will take more than a shaky start to see him ousted from his position. Meanwhile, Anthony Martial rejected the chance to join Chelsea before signing for Manchester United, according to reports. The Manchester Evening News claimed over the weekend that the Blues made an offer for the Frenchman - feasible, but unlikely given the options Mourinho already has.
