Recent rumors have suggested who the next opponent could be for John Cena's United States Championship at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on October 25. One of the members of The New Day.

The report by Cageside Seats said 'It's also looking like we'll know the direction for John Cena and the US title headed into the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. It's expected to be one of the members of The New Day.'

The current WWE Tag Team Champions are also involved in a storyline with The Dudley Boyz, and they are also expected to have another match against them with the title on the line at the same pay-per-view.

But, due to 'The Freebird' rule, any two members of The New Day can defend the titles, not just the two that won them. This leaves one person left out who could be involved in another match, and with how hot the group is with the WWE Universe, it would be idiotic not to do just that.

The amount of times Xavier Woods has been put through a table by The Dudley Boyz over the past few weeks, he has to be in the tag team title fight at Hell in a Cell. Kofi Kingston has already been involved in several mid-card title fights, so they should provide the chance to Big E.

Big E is sculptured in Vince McMahon's image of what a perfect WWE Superstar should be. Big, bulky, and a force that can dominate. Just a slight tweak is needed for his promos, which have been improving over the last year, and he could possibly make the jump to main event.

Feuding with Cena before he goes on his planned break would be a fantastic learning opportunity for the former Intercontinental Champion. Big E should be allowed to win the title at Hell in a Cell and hold it until WrestleMania season begins at the Royal Rumble in January.

The hope is Cena will put him over to start him on his road to being a main event superstar like he should be molded to be.

Should Big E be given the opportunity with the United States Championship? Have your say and leave a comment below...
