Jose Mourinho has been looking miserable for a while now and I just don't believe it's all down to his teams poor start to the season.
A manager of his quality and experience will know he has a good selection of players who can turn things around. But his body language for some time has been withdrawn and his attitude in press conferences and post-match interviews have been very negative by his standards.
It there anything going on behind the scenes that is being kept quiet or is he looking for an exit strategy?
It's hard to figure out right now.

Mourinho to United?
Sir Alex Ferguson recently confirmed that Jose Mourinho was contacted with regards to the Manchester United job, but he had made a promise to Roman Abramovich to return to Chelsea. There were many United supporters hoping at the time that Mourinho was in the frame to replace Sir Alex, but it was not to be.
With Louis van Gaal confirming he is not going to stay beyond his three-year contract, the Red Devils will be working behind the scenes to find a successor, if LvG's project proves less than successful. The club will not allow Ryan Giggs to take over from the Dutchman if they decide another top manager is needed to take the club forward and Mourinho would surely be high up on the list of potential candidates.

There is also a thought in my mind that although Chelsea are a massive club in the Premier League, they don't have anywhere near the same global appeal as United.
Lost players confidence?
It has also been suggested that Mourinho may have lost the confidence of the players, but I don't believe for one moment that cannot be remedied. After all, he has had such an impact on many of the players careers, it's hard to believe they cannot work through (what is) an early poor run of form. There are another 30 games in the Premier League and the Champions League has only just begun.
Chelsea is not the only team right now who will be glad there is an international break. It will give Mourinho and his team a much-needed break from each other and it is my hope that the manager can take a step back from everything and cheer up a little more!
The Jose Mourinho we all know, would smile confidently and tell the world his side is going through a little blip and promise they will start challenging for the title very soon.
