The Divas Revolution seems to have passed now and the Divas Division is in the same place as it was a year ago when the likes of AJ Lee, Nikki Bella and Paige were headlining, could the title belt be the real problem?
It has been mentioned over and over again about the fact that calling female wrestling talent "Divas" is more of an insult than it is a compliment.
Add that to the fact that the belt is a purple butterfly and lacks the pedigree that the Women's Championship boasts, and it seems that that would have been the better choice as the sole title.

COULD THE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP BELT RETURN?
Ever since the Women's Championship was retired back in 2008, many wrestling fans have failed to forgive WWE executives for ending such a long line of legendary women's wrestlers to transfer to a belt that has little or no prestige.
Since then there have been people petitioning for WWE to switch the belts and bring back some prestige to the Divas Division, and in an online Q and A yesterday Jim Ross said that he thinks now is as good a time as any to bring it back.
"Chances are better now than they seemingly ever have been. It all depends on the storylines and how well the women improve their in ring presentations and their overall game.”
The actual pedigree of the Divas Division is under no question as the like of Charlotte, Paige, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks have injected new life into the main roster over the past few months. The problem here is the WWE booking team and the way the Divas are being circulated.
WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN?
WWE need to book the Divas on the same level as Triple H does in NXT, it is accepted that the Full Sail University crowd are a lot easier to book to than the usual WWE audience.
But if the women can main event NXT and Sasha and Bayley can make history by competing and main eventing with the first ever Iron-Woman match at NXT Takeover: Respect, then why can't the main roster divas?
Sometimes the prize is the problem. The NXT Divas fight for that belt so fiercely that right now it has more prestige than the main roster belt.
If WWE brought back the Women's Championship that has been held by the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Fabulous Moolah, Melina, Gail Kim and Mickie James then maybe the current crop of female talent will realise that they are fighting in the same category for a new generation, instead of a completely different one.
