Everyone looks to make a bog impact in the pre-season and start the new year off on the right foot, but one man did more than anyone ever before him to achieve that goal.

Griffin was simply doing some lay-up drills ahead of the game and would then leave his mark on the Rogers Arena.

Going for a very strong lay up, Griffin made the shot clock on top of the back board collapse following his assault on the rim.

On fan caught the incident on camera from the stands and needless to say, it was a pretty funny result of a lay-up.

The vicious dunk left some of the staff at the arena with a bit of work to do as they tried to correct the problem.

As you can though, it was a very damaging dunk.
