Blackburn may be too late in confirming their interest in Dutch striker star Maceo Rigters.
The 23-year-old, who finished top scorer in the recent European Under-21 Championships, currently plays in the Dutch league for NAC Breda.
Blackburn chairman John Williams told the Lancashire Telegraph: "The Dutch lad is someone that [manager] Mark [Hughes] likes. I know that he admires him a lot."
