Sports fans, welcome to your daily round-up.
There isn’t much we can say for today bar the fact it’s a fairly usual Wednesday that’s sure to fade into obscurity once the clock tolls for the beginning of Thursday.
That doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it while it’s here though. What better way to do that than to settle down and read the latest gossip? Don’t worry, we’ll answer that. There is no better way.
Andrew Luck could make a return to the Indianapolis Colts tomorrow when they take on the Houston Texans, although coach Chuck Pagano refused to provide a concrete update.
Luck is still struggling with his shoulder and is by no means a certainty to feature at quarterback for the Colts, but he did say that he was preparing to start and play.
He might come in ahead of backup Matt Hasselbeck, which would give the Colts a huge boost coming off the back of their narrow victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars a week ago.
Forte trade speculation
Meanwhile, Matt Forte has revealed he doesn’t believe he will be traded by the Chicago Bears, describing the situation as a ‘lot of media speculation’.
It’s safe to say most Bears fans want to keep the running back and fortunately for them he’s moved to allay fears that he will be departing Soldier Field.
Across to NBA, and D’Angelo Russell left the Los Angeles Lakers’ exhibition match against Utah in the first quarter last night, having sustained a bruised glute muscle.
The rookie point guard went down after being called for a foul on Rudy Gobert and was then withdrawn from the action.
Lastly, Russell's teammate, Roy Hibbert, was involved in an on-court altercation with the Jazz’s Trevor Booker.
The incident saw Hibbert receive a slap in the face, although it could be argued he was the more aggressive party based on the way he rushed Booker.
