Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has been hailed as a 'great player' by Barcelona technical director Robert Fernandez.
As reported by talkSPORT, Fernandez has hailed the dynamic midfielder but claims that the Catalans already possess a number of playmakers.
The Brazil international, who secured the Reds' Player of the Year award for last season, has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp recently. Coutinho has gone from strength-to-strength on Merseyside and is now recognised by many as Liverpool's standout player.

The 23-year-old's recent performances have caught the eye of many in the game, so it's not entirely surprising that the likes of Barcelona have been credited with interest in his signature.
The La Liga champions signed Luis Suarez from Anfield in the summer of 2014, but it's far from certain as to whether they will step up their interest in Coutinho in the near future.
One thing is for sure, the Reds ace is admired by Fernandez, who told Cadena Ser: "Coutinho is a great player, with a great condition, but we have a lot of playmakers.
"But, it isn't easy to find players who are capable of playing for Barca."
Coutinho is one of the most exciting players starring in England's elite division, so it's crucial the Liverpool hierarchy manage to keep him for the long term.
Of course, it's all change at the club right now, but surely Coutinho will prove to be the club's talisman under the new regime. Has has the class and attributes to become a superstar at Anfield. Barcelona may well come calling, but Liverpool must reject any future advances.
