Manchester United striker Anthony Martial further enhanced his burgeoning reputation on Thursday night by producing a brilliant assist for Karim Benzema’s second goal in France’s emphatic 4-0 win over Armenia.
The 19-year-old was sent on as a second-half substitute at the Allianz Riviera in Nice, with Les Blues already leading 2-0, and provided the assist for his team’s fourth of the night in the 79th minute.
Martial received a pass with his back to the Armenian defence and showed the intelligence to flick the ball - without looking - with the outside of his right foot, straight into the path of Benzema, who ran 30 yards before cooly slotting the ball into the bottom corner of the net. It was another impressive moment from Martial, who has enjoyed a blistering start to the 2015-16 campaign with both club and country.

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for the self-assured teenager, who Manchester United signed for £36 million last month, but he has taken everything in his stride so far.
Man Utd fans react on Twitter
Martial is the real deal
Martial clearly possesses a mature head on young shoulders and doesn’t allow himself to get carried away with the hype from the fans or the press, even though he continues to stand out on the pitch.
The more he continues to score goals, or provide assists like last night’s, the more the comparisons with former greats - like Thierry Henry - will be made.
But if he can continue to concentrate on his football, there’s no reason why this hugely talented striker won’t scale the same lofty heights as the likes of Henry.
