Roy Makaay will seek a transfer away from Bayern Munich if they complete the signing of Miroslav Klose this summer.

The Dutch striker has been the club´s top scorer each season since arriving for a then club record 18 million euros (£12m) from Deportivo La Coruna in 2004 but, although Claudio Pizarro has left for Chelsea, the Dutchman knows he will struggle to be regarded as the number one hitman should Klose arrive from Werder Bremen.

"Roy Makaay has told us that he would like a transfer if Klose comes, and that is fine," admitted Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in the Munchner Merkur newspaper.
