Newly promoted Strasbourg are looking for a new coach after Jean-Pierre Papin left the club by mutual consent on Monday.

Ex-France striker Papin had only spent one season in charge, joining in May 2006, but took Racing up by finishing third in Ligue 2.

Strasbourg president Philippe Ginestet said on the club´s official website: "Both parties agreed that conditions were not amicable enough to continue for another season. I would like to thank Jean-Pierre Papin for his time at RCS and wish him good luck for the continuation of his career."
