Three episodes of NXT have been taped this week and they will air on October 14 through to October 28.
The first taped episode saw a new number one contender crowned for the NXT Championship whilst Nia Jax also made her debut as the focus now turns to the NXT TakeOver: London which takes place in December.
The NXT format sees the talent tape around three or four shows in one night at Full Sail University. They are then rolled out to air on a weekly basis, so if you want to avoid the spoilers for the episode that will air on October 21, please turn back now.

ASUKA IN ACTION
The first match of the second episode saw Asuka in action. She’s coming off a highly impressive win at TakeOver: Respect against Dana Brooke in what was one of the better debuts on NXT.
This time, she was in action against Billie Kay and picked up another impressive win similar fashion as she locked in the Asuka Lock for the victory. More wins against talented Diva’s will be great for Asuka and her push for a championship match in months to come.
Enzo Amore and Big Cass were in action next with Carmella in their corner and they picked up a win over The Mechanics – Scot Dawson and Dash Wilder.
After the match, both Dawson and Wilder attacked Big Cass and Enzo and it looked as if they’re running an injury angle as they focus on attacking Big Cass’ knee after taking off the knee brace. It will be interesting to see where NXT goes with this in the coming weeks.
For a number of days now a lot of rumours were circulating online about a new addition to the NXT roster. In fact, images surfaced online just hours before TakeOver: Respect on Wednesday and something did come from those rumours as James Storm has arrived on NXT.
He follows in the footsteps of former TNA talent Samoa Joe, coming out to a great reaction from the Full Sail crowd and defeated Danny Burch with the Eye of the Storm. Here’s hoping he sticks around on NXT for a while as his experience could be vital.
CORBIN VS RHYNO
After interrupting Bayley in the first episode Alexa Bliss was now in action against Peyton Royce. Bliss picked up the win after hitting her with the Sparke Splash and then cut a promo after her match.
It’s being reported that the boo’s in the arena resulted in fans not being able to hear Bliss so it’s good that she’s getting a lot of heat as a heel. She then finished off by saying she’s coming for Bayley and the NXT Women’s Championship.
In the main event we had Baron Corbin defeating Rhyno in what is said to be a good and lengthy match which does come as a surprise. It was clear at TakeOver that Corbin looked a lot more confident in the ring now and there was a lot of improvement as well.
Corbin now needs to build on these performances so fans can take him seriously again, enough of the squash matches against enhancement talents. With more lengthy performances, he could have a successful career.
