The NXT stars were back at Full Sail University the night after TakeOver to tape three episodes of NXT.
In the first two taped episodes we saw a new number one contender crowned for the NXT Championship, Nia Jax made her debut and James Storm arrived with plenty of hype.
The NXT format sees the talent tape around three or four shows in one night at Full Sail University. This allows them to compete in live events as they are rolled out to air on a weekly basis before more episodes are taped. If you wish to avoid the spoilers for the episode airing on October 28, please turn back now.

TAG TEAM ACTION
In the opening match of the night, it was an all-Australian affair, as Emma picked up a victory over Shazza McKenzie via submission.
The next match is one fans will definitely need to tune into when it airs on the WWE Network, Jason Jordan and Chad Gable took on the team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. It’s being reported that Gable and Jordan received an incredible reaction from the NXT crowd.
They came up short in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on Wednesday night, but it’s good to see they’re making good use of the momentum. They picked up a huge win over Ciampa and Gargano after hitting the Assistplex.
Nia Jax was in action again after picking up a win on her debut. This time, she defeated Scottish star Kay Lee Ray with a body slam.
Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder had another run in with Enzo Amore and Big Cass like they did on the previous episode. It looks as if they’re heading towards an injury angle now as they took off his knee brace and continued to focus on the knee.
The doctors had to come and check on Big Cass as well so it’ll be interesting to see what the plans are surrounding both of these teams. The obvious answer right now is that they will clash at NXT TakeOver: London at the end of the year. If not then there’s always the possibility they move up to the main roster in the coming months.
BALOR VS. DILLINGER
After his actions in the battle royal at the last taped episode, Tyler Breeze found himself in a match with Samoa Joe. It’s being reported that this was a very good match with plenty of near falls which always makes for good excitement.
Breeze could have stolen the victory on multiple occasions but in the end it was Samoa Joe who won through submission. Don’t expect this to be their final encounter either, this looks like a feud that could stretch for a number of weeks.
In the main event, Finn Balor was in action for the first time since TakeOver: Respect, which means we won’t see him for two weeks before this episode. He took on Tye Dillinger in the main event in another great match.
This is very good for Dillinger as he gets to mix it up with some of the biggest names on NXT such as Balor, regardless of whether he wins or loses. He has a good gimmick for himself now which the fans are behind, but it wasn’t enough to defeat the NXT Champion who hit the Coup de Grace for the win.
