Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been banned from driving for six months after he was caught speeding at 110mph in Surrey.
The Spaniard has endured a tough start to the Premier League season as the Stamford Bridge club sit 16th in the table and off-field issues will only cause more problems for the former Arsenal man.
The 28-year-old was driving at over double the limit on the A3 Esher bypass, where the maximum speed is 50mph.

Fabregas' barrister Ben Waidhofer said the Chelsea star was remorseful for his actions and wanted to draw a line under the event.
He told Get Surrey: "Certainly, he has learned his lesson today. He [Fabregas] is genuinely remorseful. He has learned his lesson and wishes to draw a line [under the matter].
"This is not somebody who is repeatedly before the court for troubling speed cameras, running red lights, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
"That doesn't arise in this case. What I can tell you is that this is somebody who will not be doing it again."
The off-field issues are just the latest problem for Fabregas in what has proven to be a torrid year for the former Barcelona man.
Despite helping Chelsea to the Premier League title last season, his performances following the turn of the year have left a lot to be desired.
His decline in form has continued into the new campaign and his position in the starting line-up has come under considerable scrutiny.
Fabregas is a player who has won everything throughout his time in football so it would be wrong to write him off in what should be the prime of his career.
But something will have to change if he is to be remembered as a legend by the Stamford Bridge faithful.
