The Group F clash was abandoned in the 89th minute with the scores level at 3-3 after a Danish fan ran on to the Parken stadium pitch and attacked German referee Herbert Fandel. Gravgaard was the first player to react when the supporter ran at Fandel and even took a punch to the head for his troubles.
"(Christian) Poulsen was shown a red card and out of the corner of my eye I saw a spectator run on to the pitch," said the FC Copenhagen defender. "I tried to get in the way before he hit the referee but didn´t really succeed."
