It was a night to forget for two Premier League stars as Serbia were beaten on home soil at the hands of Portugal in European Championship qualifying last night.
Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov picked up a second yellow card for dissent while Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic was shown a straight red for violent conduct.
The holding midfielder, who has endured a tricky start to the season under the guidance of Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, was embroiled in controversy for swinging an elbow at his Portuguese counterpart.

It's fair to say that Andre Andre made the most of it, but the Chelsea man's actions were inexcusable, nonetheless.
Goals from ex-Manchester United winger Nani and Joao Moutinho secured the win for the Group I winners.
Matic's season has all been a bit of a struggle so far. Last term, as Chelsea cruised to the Premier League title, the Serbian ace was one of the best players in the division, but he's failed to hit those same heights this time around.
For one reason or another, Matic just hasn't been that same commanding, powerful midfielder in the opening stages of the season.
Unsurprisingly, he's had to settle for a place on the Chelsea bench on occasions, so he must improve sooner rather than later. A return to form for Matic really could kickstart Chelsea's campaign.
