Eden Hazard: Jose Mourinho dropped me to send a message

Published Add your comment

It’s fair to assume Eden Hazard was left ruffled by Jose Mourinho’s decision to drop him earlier this season, and the Belgian has since confirmed that he is no longer untouchable at Stamford Bridge. The Chelsea forward, far and away one of the best Premier League players last season, has come in for strong criticism of late, and he now thinks Mourinho dropped him to send out a message to other players potentially under performing. Of course he’s far from alone when it comes to players in a bad patch of form, but he’s arguably the biggest name Mourinho could have dropped. Moving on, other reports claim the Special One could be replaced by Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone if things don’t improve. Mourinho was given the dreaded vote of confidence by his superiors last week, but may well still be walking a tightrope. If he’s given the boot, it appears Simeone is the man they want.
