Roman Reigns was always set up to fail. In the run up to WrestleMania 31 earlier this year, the WWE pushed Reigns to the absolute moon, giving him the type of boost that no face character has received in years and years.
In a world where Daniel Bryan got over in spite of Vince McMahon and the WWE Creative team, the fans responded negatively to Reigns and booed him out of winning a World Heavyweight Championship, with the decision being made for Seth Rollins to get the cash-in.
Well, it's seven months later and the WWE seem set to do the exact same thing.

Rumors have been spreading that Vince wants to basically rehash the same entire story line with Reigns, leading to him winning the top prize in the WWE at WrestleMania 32 next year in Dallas, in what will be the biggest 'Mania of all-time.
Steve Austin said it best when he perused that no matter what the WWE try and do with him, Reigns has to become a heel first, before he can even hope to become one of the top babyfaces in the company.
Doomed To Fail
I see no way at all that Reigns could go into WrestleMania next year as a face, with limited character progression, and not be booed out of Cowboys Stadium. If Roman were to beat both Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a triple-threat for the title, he would receive the worst reaction, even if the other two were both heels at that point.
But, yet again, Vince McMahon is going to keep on being the most stubborn man there is, and will actively make the wrong decision just to spite WWE fans.
Reigns is going to be hated by fans yet again and it is all going to be Vince's fault. Typical.
