During a recent interview, King Barrett has said he would like to enter himself into WWE's tag team division.
Speaking to MTV, the former Intercontinetal Champion said he would like to chase tag team gold after recently returning from filming a movie.
He said in the interview: "I would really like to go into the tag division. It isn’t something I’ve done very much in the past. Pretty much consistently since I’ve been with WWE since 2010 I’ve been the bad guy singles wrestler so I would like to do something a little different.

"I’ve always feel like I play off people well and I was hoping the run with Stardust might last a little bit longer. But going back, I know there’s a few guys that are kind of in the doldrums at the moment career-wise so maybe pairing up with someone new and trying to go in a completely different direction to what I’ve done before is the next step for me."
Barrett is currently in a feud with Neville and he picked up a nice win against him on last week's SmackDown. But to enter the tag team division, he'll need a tag partner, and he recognises how well The New Day are working.
He said: "The guys in that division have done a really good job in the last year or so. New Day especially, they’ve really spearheaded it in my opinion, so I’d love to be a part of it in some way, shape or form."
So if Barrett was to enter the division, who could his tag team partner be? He recently paired up with Stardust at SummerSlam, but that doesn't look like it is going anywhere anymore.
I think he could work well with Damien Sandow. He is in need of a shot back to the main roster shows and pairing him up with Barrett would be a good way to provide just that.
They could bounce off each other well with an 'intellectual/we're better than you' type gimmick if Sandow stays with his 'The Voice of Common Sense' gimmick which has recently be rumored.
