He hasn’t been there long but Jurgen Klopp is already making an impression at Anfield, or so says midfielder Lucas Leiva. The Brazilian, who struggled to a degree under Brendan Rodgers, praised Klopp’s passion, and said things have been very positive in training since the German’s appointment. Lucas also said that Klopp wants his players to always give 10 extra metres. That might be fairly crucial given that he’s renowned for instilling a great work effort into his sides. Elsewhere, Joe Gomez picked up an injury playing for the England U21 side and could miss this weekend’s fixture against Tottenham. The 18-year-old took a knock to his ankle and supposedly may need to take time out to recover. That’s bad news no matter what way you look at it, but even more so because he’ll have been keen to impress his new club manager.
