Arsenal round-up: Nolito could reject Wenger for Barcelona move

Published 3 Comments

Arsenal fans, a very good day to you all.

With the international break now over and fans either rejoicing or revolting - depending on your nationality - we can look forward to regular club action resuming.

What comes with that? Well, gossip and news of course. Read on below for the latest on your team, or watch the video above.

Nolito to Barca?

If transfer rumours are to be believed then Arsenal are hot on the heels of Celta Vigo forward Nolito. That’s all well and good, but they’re seemingly destined to run into a problem; Barcelona.

Mundo Deportivo - as relayed by the Daily Express - today claims that Nolito pretty much has his heart set on a move to the Nou Camp, and will accept their offer - providing it’s forthcoming - even if it’s lower than the one he receives from Arsenal.

Bad news for sure, given that Arsene Wenger wants a striker, but not all that surprising.

Sanchez form

Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez continued his hot vein of form by notching a brace for Chile against Peru last night.

The diminutive South American started the season in a bit of a mire with regards to scoring goals. He’s certainly climbed out of that now, and it can only be a good thing for the Gunners.

Kokorin rejection possible

We finish with a story that was technically from yesterday - I know, naughty, naughty - but since it’s fairly big news we can’t resist the urge to include it today.

Worrying reports suggest that Dynamo Moscow forward Aleksandr Kokorin could reject a move to Arsenal in January over a concern regarding how much silverware they win.

The Russia international’s mindset was backed up by quotes from his agent, Cyril Loginov, who said he didn’t know if the Gunners were the right club.
