James Wilson is set to become the third Manchester United player to join Celtic this season as the 19-year-old follows Tyler Blackett and Saidi Janko to the Scottish champions
According to Daily Mail, Louis van Gaal has given the green light for a loan move in January.
The England Under-21 international has seen his chances limited under the Dutchman, who, although lacking in striking options, is happy to let the striker join Celtic until the end of the season.

The youngster has played 15 times for the Red Devils and is one of the rare academy products that Van Gaal had seemingly kept faith in this season.
After scoring two on his debut, he looked as though this could be a season he could really cement his position up front.
Radamel Falcao and Javier Hernandez being allowed to leave left Wilson and Wayne Rooney the only two established strikers at the club, however the explosive nature of Antony Martial's arrival has seen him slip down the pecking order.
Wilson recently signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2017 and Van Gaal insists a bright future is ahead for the striker.
When a deadline day deal with Championship side Derby collapsed, it appeared that Wilson may be given more opportunities to prove himself at Manchester United.
Ronny Delia has already secured the services of Tyler Blackett on loan, but is currently short on attacking options with Leigh Griffiths the only striker firing at the minute and Carlton Cole's proposed move being put on hold due to injury.
