NXT has enjoyed another fantastic year with plenty of brilliant matches even more media exposure, but there’s still another TakeOver event to take place.
The four TakeOver events that have taken place so far have been highly successful, and the WWE will hope the final event of the year lives up to the same high expectations.
NXT TakeOver: London will take place on December 16 at the Wembley Arena during the seven-show tour of Britain. Cities such as Newcastle, Blackpool and Cardiff will host house shows during the tour.

With three episodes of NXT already taped it’s provided a clearer indication as to which storylines they may be going forward with, and they should culminate at TakeOver: London.
Here are the matches I believe will take place at the final TakeOver of the year.

FINN BALOR © VS. APOLLO CREWS – NXT CHAMPIONSHIP
This one is pretty much a lock considering Crews won the battle royal on NXT. He’s had a rapid rise to the top and it won’t be a surprise to see them throw the championship title on him as he is simply that good.
A lot of people were expecting Balor and Samoa Joe to clash for the championship, but it looks as if Joe’s attention is elsewhere right now. So this does look like the main event of TakeOver: London and if that’s what goes ahead then the fans attending the show will be in for a real treat.
It would be tough to call down the middle as Balor is more than ready for the main roster, but he’s doing great things on NXT and there are still plenty of feuds that could take place. It will also be interesting to see who the fans side with in this match.
SAMOA JOE VS. TYLER BREEZE
Tyler Breeze cost Samoa Joe the chance to become the number one contender for the NXT Championship, so it’s only right the two go at it at the final TakeOver of the year.
This has the potential to be one of the best matches of the event as both men are solid workers, it won’t be a surprise to see this as a number one contenders match either as a win for either man would help their chances of earning an NXT Championship match.
BAYLEY © VS. ASUKA/DANA BROOKE – NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP
Bayley will obviously defend her NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver, we just don’t know who it could be against.
Sasha Banks is done with NXT for now so it looks like as if it’s going to come down to two women, Asuka and Dana Brooke. The two competed at TakeOver: Respect and Asuka really stole the show with an incredible debut performance which is something fans should get used to.
Asuka is more than ready to go at it with Bayley and the two could make history in London, it’s just a matter of whether they feel Dana could bring more out of this potential storyline than Asuka could, mainly because of the lack of English.
They could always have a triple threat, but the singles matches between either of these three in London would be fantastic.
THE VAUDEVILLIANS © VS. JASON JORDAN AND CHAD GABLE – NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
I think it will be Jordan and Gable that receive the next shot at the tag team championships. The good thing about NXT is that there are plenty of tag teams there who are either excelling on television or impressing on house shows, so that division is in safe hands.
The Vaudevillians haven’t really been tested as champions whilst Gable and Jordan are continuing to impress people, in fact, they’re probably the team you should keep an eye on as they could have a massive future.
The London crowd would definitely be into this match, considering Enzo Amore and Big Cass could be busy elsewhere.
Enzo Amore and Big Cass should definitely be at the event as they are simply too over to miss out on this event. If they’re going to be in action then we should expect to see them go up against Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder.
Dawson and Wilder have really stepped up and impressed over the last few months and they too are a team you need to keep your eye on. They have a unique look, good chemistry but most of all they can actually work in the ring.
We should also expect Baron Corbin to be in action as he is a unique superstar, almost an attraction who the London crowd would want to see. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see a number of main roster stars competing at TakeOver either – such as Neville.
