In quite possibly the most shocking news of the week, Sami Zayn is set to wrestle this weekend, but not for WWE.

The former NXT Champion will instead be a part of Independant Promotion Evolve where he will be available for Meet and Greets and Autograph opportunities.

TALENT SHARING UNHEARD OF

It was unheard of a few years ago that WWE would share their talent with their rivals, but it seems that since Blue Pants was allowed to appear for promotions at the same time as being with WWE but not under contract, now more superstars are following suit.

This is just further showing how much NXT is evolving, the likes of Samoa Joe and James Storm have come over from TNA and now WWE is allowing their talents to go to other promotions whilst still under contract.

It seems this is just another example of how much wrestling is changing and the fact that WWE are now open to helping promote other brands as well as their own and this way they can in turn use Evolve's talent on their promotion. It seems like an equally beneficial partnership.

ZAYN INJURED

The current WWE storyline is that Sami Zayn was badly injured by long time friend Kevin Owens, and the former Champion hasn't been seen since a debuting Samoa Joe made the save at NXT Takeover:Unstoppable a few months ago.

There were reports stating that Zayn could be out until 2016 with the injuries he sustained, but him wrestling this weekend suggests otherwise.

The news was announced on Twitter with promoter Gabe Sapolsky stating that the former champion will be appearing on October 17th and 18th in Queens and Deer Park New York respectively.

It is thought that this latest sign of respect from both NXT and Evolve is another sign of their growing friendship and it could mean that there will be more Independent wrestlers making their debuts for NXT in the near future and many other NXT talents heading over to Evolve to help their promotion grow and bring in a bigger audience.

IS IT A GOOD IDEA TO ALLOW SOMEONE OF ZAYN'S CALIBRE TO PERFORM ELSEWHERE? COULD THIS PARTNERSHIP BE THE START OF SOMETHING GREAT FOR NXT? HAVE YOUR SAY IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW...
