The WWE is going through its worst period in nearly two decades with regards to TV ratings.
The last time the WWE was in a situation this dire, it signaled in the beginning of the Attitude Era - a radical shift in programming with a crazy amount of focus on story lines and backstage brawls, rather than on the in-ring wrestling.
New Day Rock
Whilst near-enough everything the WWE is doing right now is mindbogglingly boring - I'm looking at you Rusev/Summer Rae/Ziggler/Lana - there is one thing the WWE has going for it, The New Day. New Day are incredible and they need to be holding more Championships.

U.S Title First
Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods are entertaining as hell, one of the best things the WWE have done in years, and they deserve a greater reward for it.
The enigmatic trio may already hold the tag team titles, but they really need to become bigger players in the WWE scene and the United States Championship should be next.
WWE are starting to trust New Day more now, giving them that promo and match on Monday Night Raw against top stars like Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose. Now, with John Cena heading out on to his two-month sabbatical after the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, it would be a fantastic chance to put the title on Kofi, Big E or Xavier for the next couple of months.
Get Sasha Banks on Board
There is something else that New Day need, the Divas Championship. I'm not advocating a Santina Marella situation, rather, Sasha Banks or the entirety of Team B.A.D coming under the New Day banner and stealing the Divas title away from Charlotte.
Unfortunately, that would force the WWE Creative Team to actually create something resembling a storyline for the Divas division, so it probably won't happen.
The New Day needs to become a dominant stable in the WWE. What they're doing now is a start, but more titles and a bigger involvement in programming is needed for sure. Let's just hope they can become that serious player whilst keeping their entertaining qualities.
