CM Punk's messy divorce from the WWE has seen the once popular star become a figure of hate for many within the WWE Universe.
Now going by his real name, Phil Brooks, as he attempts to make it in the UFC world, the former WWE Superstar has made enemies within the wrestling community, many of whom believe he jumped ship from the WWE.
And now his controversial exit from the organization has led to a heated exchange on Twitter - Punk not taking too kindly to accusations that he abandoned the WWE.

The comment that enraged CM Punk actually came from the Twitter handle @dailystache, a New York Mets fan account looking to wind up the Chicago native after the Cubs' MLB playoffs loss to the Big Apple ball club.
It read as follows:
Punk has never been one to back down from an argument, but to say he reacted badly to this particular claim would be an understatement.
You can read the former Superstar's Tweet in full via this link, but considering its x-rated nature, the best we can do is substitute a few expletives for stars:
"@dailystache c**** like you ruin s*** for real fans. I "abandoned" a company? F**k your childish entitlement. Pig."
WWE fans were actually on Punk's side when he effectively forced his way out of the company in 2014 after a protracted battle with the organization's hierarchy.
Since then, though, with the former wrestler having criticized the WWE on several occasions, many fans have turned on their former hero.
There is no doubt that Punk's exit came in dramatic circumstances, and the fact he is still reacting to such accusations in this way perhaps shows the WWE Universe that his conscious isn't quite clean when it comes to how he left the company.
