Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers GOT PAID last night.

The Cavs backup power forward finally agreed to a five-year, $82million fully guaranteed contract after threatening to hold out for the entire 2015/16 NBA season until he becomes an unrestricted free agent next summer.

The number turned a lot of heads, even that of Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, who reacted in complete disbelief to the news.

Cousins Shocked

The Sacramento Kings big man tweeted "How much?" with a fittingly wide-eyed emoji shortly after the news of Thompson's contract broke.

Boogies’ current contract with the Kings is a 4-year $62 million deal, and Cousins is a much better player than Tristan Thompson can ever hope to be, so you can understand why the big man tweeted the way he did.

General Disbelief

Cousins wasn't the only person who was completely stunned by the news, with NBA writer Chris Sheridan and others expressing their shock at the Cavaliers paying that kind of money for a player who will start near enough every game from the bench next season.
