Jose Mourinho asked Chelsea board not to sell Kevin De Bruyne

Published Add your comment

Given the fact that Kevin De Bruyne has started his Manchester City career almost perfectly there’s a good many Chelsea fans who have reason to be wondering why on earth he was ever allowed to leave Stamford Bridge. Well, new information appears to have surfaced, and if you’re one of those aforesaid fans you can no longer blame Jose Mourinho. Journalist Kristof Terreur has claimed on Twitter that Mourinho pleaded with his board not to sell De Bruyne, but the player himself pushed for an exit. One has to wonder why Mourinho didn’t give him a chance if he wanted to keep him. Meanwhile, Brazil legend Lucio has warned Oscar he needs to adapt his game if he’s to succeed at Chelsea, with the playmaker enduring an indifferent campaign thus far. Lucio said his compatriot’s form was just a matter of having to change his style of play. Whether he can or not remains to be seen.
