Full Sail University played host to the latest set of NXT tapings once more as three episodes were taped to air in November.
The first two taped episodes saw Apollo Crews miss out on his chance to become NXT Champion after Baron Corbin interfered to cause a disqualification, Samoa Joe also turned heel in the process. That wasn’t the only surprise, The Vaudevillians dropped their Tag Team Championships to The Mechanics who have really impressed over the last few months.
The NXT format sees them tape around three or four episodes in one night, this then allows them to travel for house shows and train so they are rolled out on a weekly basis. If you wish to avoid the spoilers for the episode airing on November 18, please turn back now.

THE ASCENSION RETURN
Nia Jax was in action to kick off the show as she continued her unbeaten run, this time she steamrolled through Carmella and it will be interesting to see who they pick as Jax’ first real feud.
The Ascension were back home and in tag team action, taking on the team of Jason Jordan and Chad Gable who have really picked up steam over the last few months and are tipped for big things in the near future.

Reports are saying both teams received great reactions from the crowd as Gable and Jordan picked up the win via the assisted German suplex as both teams shook hands at the end of the match.
The second Diva’s match of the episode saw Emma defeating Mary Kate using her Emma Lock.
CHAMPIONS IN ACTION
The newly crowned Tag Team champions were in action for the first time since capturing their championship titles, taking on and defeating two enhancement talents before Bayley was in the main event to put her NXT Women’s Championship on the line.
Alexa Bliss was her opponent as she made her intentions clear in previous episodes and even ran off with the championship in the episode prior to this. Bayley managed to retain her championship using the ‘Hugplex’ and even though Alexa lost the match the experience itself will be valuable to her.
She’s a bright talent and good in the ring and the gimmick change has worked wonders for her, we should definitely keep an eye out next year to see whether she’s able to go a step higher and capture the championship.
That wasn’t the end of the night, however, everyone’s worst fears came true as Eva Marie came out and issued a challenge to Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championships which – as expected – prompted a lot of heat.
