Ander Herrera is keen to repay the support of Manchester United’s fans by providing them with plenty of reason to celebrate after tomorrow’s Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard knows that victory over Manchester City will move the Red Devils above the league
leaders, which will generate scenes of mass celebration and hysteria amongst the home faithful.
Thriving off of the hype of the home win over their neighbours back in April, the former Athletic Bilbao midfielder is hoping for a repeat performance.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Herrera explained: “Last season I remember the derby at Old Trafford was the biggest atmosphere.
“I remember my friends came to the game last year and when the game finished they told me the city was unbelievable.
“I went with my friends to celebrate the victory and I saw more Reds, maybe because of the result, but I remember that. I hope to repeat the victory.”
The 26-year-old has shown his versatility this season, being deployed as both a holding midfielder and in the number 10 role just behind the striker since Louis van Gaal took charge at Old Trafford.
That – combined with his ever-smiling demeanour – has endeared him to the Manchester United faithful and made him one of the most popular members of the squad.
And the Spaniard is very aware of the affection that he receives from his supporters, adding: “I feel it. I feel the fans support and I have to say thank you to everyone.
“The only way I can say thank you and show my appreciation is to keep doing my best and keep fighting for the club. I want to give everything back to the club and to the fans. I can say only say thank you to them.”
Victory over Manuel Pelligrini’s side is a sure way to impress the red half of Manchester even
more, and with the added incentive of the chance to go top, tomorrow’s match is really set to be a passionate affair.
