Ajax’s Anwar El Ghazi could become Jurgen Klopp’s first signing as Liverpool manager in January, according to The Guardian.

The 20-year-old is a hot prospect who is also being suited by the likes of Stoke, Southampton and Atletico Madrid.

El Ghazi – who plays on the wing – only made his first-team debut for the Eredivisie club last season, but has already scored 17 goals from 40 league appearances.

Netherlands.

That form has placed him firmly on the radar of some top European clubs, and it seems only a matter of time before he becomes the next Ajax starlet to be lured away by the promise of playing in a stronger league.

Jurgen Klopp has made an unbeaten start to his Liverpool reign, but has failed to win either of his opening game in charge. He has inherited an injury-ravaged squad and the January transfer
window couldn’t come quickly enough for the German manager.

After Christmas he will be able to reinvigorate his squad and put his own stamp on the Anfield club.
