Of all the decisions Jurgen Klopp makes in the January transfer window, deciding who to sell will be up there with the most important. Joe Allen could go, perhaps Dejan Lovren, maybe he’ll even give into Barcelona’s lust for Philippe Coutinho. But Daniel Sturridge? Unlikely as it sounds, former Reds player Mark Lawrenson has gone on record as saying he believes Klopp might begin to think about letting Sturridge go, as the England international can’t promise him enough games fully fit. Sturridge has been struggling with injuries for quite some time of late, but selling him would be a major surprise. Elsewhere, Jamie Carragher has criticised Liverpool’s performances under Klopp so far, describing them as being like a ‘church choir’ as opposed to the ‘heavy-metal’ approach the German coach is known for. The Reds have drawn three out of three games Klopp has been in charge of, so it’s difficult to disagree.
