Alexis Sanchez wants to become Arsenal's highest paid player

Published 1 Comments

The words superstar and Alexis Sanchez go together like Arsenal and FA Cup success of late, so it’s no surprise that the Chile international wants to be rewarded for his efforts in north London. Claims this morning focus on the idea that Sanchez is vying for a new Emirates Stadium contract, one that would make him the highest paid player at the club. At the moment the former Barcelona man is on just £130,000-a-week - I know, ‘just’- and that puts him behind Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil. Given the fact he’s arguably their standout performer he wants more, and the club have apparently been receptive to his demands. Moving on, Laurent Koscielny is clearly buoyed by the Gunners fine start to the season, having suggested that he and his teammates are capable of great things. The French defender hailed Arsene Wenger’s rotation policy, although he did admit he didn’t know if it was the best Arsenal team he had played in.
