Chelsea round-up: Carlo Ancelotti will not take Blues job if offered it

Published Add your comment

Chelsea fans, a very warm welcome on this winter day.

We’ll assume you’re all gagging to be spoon-fed the latest Blues news so there’ll be no dilly-dallying on this page, we can assure you of that.

Instead, all you need to do is read on below or watch the video above for the latest information. Leave thoughts and comments in the box provided.

Ancelotti management view

Given Chelsea’s current situation, it might not actually be too long before Roman Abramovich cuts the strings tying Jose Mourinho to Stamford Bridge.

If and when he does, the arrival of a new superstar manager will be inevitable, even if they’re in short supply.

In any case, the man potentially replacing the Special One probably won’t be Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to reportedly reject any SOS call from Abramovich concerning a temporary spell as boss and also has major reservations over a permanent position.

Guus Hiddink would be open to it, according to the same sources, but whether or not Chelsea want him again remains to be seen.

Falcao's nightmare to be ended?

Meanwhile, Radamel Falcao’s English nightmare could be drawing to a close, with another former Chelsea boss ready to give him a chance elsewhere.

Andre Villas-Boas is keen to take the Colombia international to Zenit St. Petersburg in January as he bids to improve his own frontline.

We can only assume Mourinho - providing he’s still in charge - will be ready to let that specific deal happen.

Mourinho's Moss fury

Our last story of the day focuses on Mourinho - again, they cry - and his supposed rant at referee Jon Moss during the loss to West Ham this past weekend.

According to reports, the Special One told Moss that he agreed with Arsene Wenger’s assertions that he was ‘****ing soft’. It’s safe to say that could well land him in a great deal of trouble moving forward.
