Aaron Ramsey has named Cesc Fabregas as the best player he has played with at Arsenal.
The Wales international could have selected Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil or even Thierry Henry - the Gunners’ legend came back to the Emirates Stadium for a brief loan spell in 2012 - but he opted to name the current Chelsea star Fabregas as the best of the lot.
In a wide-ranging interview with UEFA’s official website, Ramsey also revealed his favourite Champions League goal, the best moment of his Arsenal career so far, and what it’s like playing alongside Ozil.

Asked to name the best player he has played with since joining the Gunners from Cardiff City in 2008, Ramsey replied: “Cesc Fàbregas. He plays in the same position as me and to have him to look up to when I first came here.
“He was playing every week, assisting, scoring. He was just a very accomplished midfielder, so probably him.”
Arsenal fans lost respect for Fabregas
Ramsey may have felt that by naming a former Arsenal player, he would avoid the risk of upsetting any of his current teammates.
But the fans might not be too impressed. Many lost respect for the Spain international, who spent eight years in north London, after he agreed to join Chelsea following his departure from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.
However, Fabregas was an excellent player for Arsenal and would probably be back at the Emirates if he had his way. Arsene Wenger, rather surprisingly, opted against re-signing the classy midfielder after it became apparent that he wanted to leave the Camp Nou.
Ramsey reserves praise for Ozil
Ramsey, though, also reserved special praise for Ozil, adding: “He has a great eye for a ball – he has many assists – and his weight of pass is fantastic as well. He finds those little pockets of space very well and links up the play.”
Best moment for Arsenal...
As for his best moment since joining Arsenal? “To win the FA Cup – scoring the winner in the 2014 FA Cup was very nice,” he replied. “That was our first trophy in many years, so that was definitely my best moment so far.”
Zidane's volley his favourite UCL goal
Ramsey also revealed this his favourite Champions League goal was the classic volley scored by the great Zinedine Zidane for Real Madrid against Bayer Leverkusen in 2002.
Arsenal fans might not agree with the Welshman’s response to best player played with, but they can have little argument about his choice for favourite Champions League goal.
