Ronaldo return possible?
It’s generally a 50/50 split, but there are a good many Manchester United supporters who have given up on ever seeing Cristiano Ronaldo play a competitive game for the club again.
The Real Madrid superstar, who left Old Trafford in 2009, appears to have the world quite literally eating out of the palm of his hands at the Santiago Bernabeu. A new report, though, could be the first hint of something happening that would shock all.
As relayed by various sources, the player’s close friend - a man by the name of Semedo - has claimed that Ronaldo could possibly finish his career in England.
"He is very happy at Real Madrid and he loves English football, he loves English people and deep down I think he will come back to England," Semedo said.
“He doesn’t like he wants to finish his career without coming back to England.
“He said he would wish Real Madrid is in England, but that is not possible so I believe he will end his career in English football.”
If he does, there’s surely virtually no other club he’d consider than United.
Rooney's Twitter slamming
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has taken a panning on Twitter after another ineffective display.
The Red Devils captain was criticised on social media after failing to produce the goods against Middlesbrough in the League Cup.
United lost that game on penalties though there seems to have been a particular emphasis placed on Rooney not being able to find the back of the net.
Lastly, former United left-back Patrice Evra has sent a message to fans of his old club telling them that he missed them.
The Frenchman reportedly told journalist Andy Mitten as much, with the latter then tweeting it out to his followers.
