The WWE have now made a habit of bringing in some of the finest wrestlers on the independent scene to their Performance Center before letting them go and make an impact on NXT.
Most of them go on to succeed on the main roster whilst some are limited to NXT and now the WWE have announced their next batch of recruits who will report to the Performance Center.

Among those that have signed, the Tough Enough contestants we saw this year have also finally been confirmed after weeks of speculation. This is a fantastic opportunity for them all as there’s nothing quite like the Performance Center to use to hone their skills.
They’ll improve their conditioning, their in-ring skill in general as well as their character development which is key in the business today.

Here are some of the notable names that have signed developmental deals with the company.
Mada was one of the favourites to win the Tough Enough competition but was voted off the show to great surprise. It’s not a surprise, however, to see him at the Performance Center as he has a lot going for him which could help him succeed.
He has a fantastic, monster-like look which makes for a great character and he has the charisma to succeed under certain gimmicks also.
Daria is another Tough Enough hopeful who failed to make a real impact on the show, although it can be argued that the flawed format played a part in her being eliminated earlier than expected.
Nevertheless, she was definitely further behind some of the women who picked things up much quicker but despite that she does have something to offer. She has a good look and has experience in mixed martial arts which could help her a lot in starting out.
The male winner of Tough Enough has been touted for some pretty big things as he impressed a lot during his time on the show. As fans, we saw him get into great shape and show the hard work and dedication you need to succeed in the business.
He has a fantastic look which is one that can succeed on the main roster for sure and he oozes charisma, which is key. He’s from a football background where he had a short stint with the Green Bay Packers, but his talents will now be used in the WWE if he continues to make strides at the Performance Center.
Patrick was the firm favourite to win Tough Enough and his elimination came as the big surprise of the show. He’s still very young so in his case it was simply a matter of when and not if the WWE came knocking to sign him up.
He has age on his side which means he plenty of time to learn and adapt skills he already has in the wrestling industry and having the passion and knowledge is also key, he’ll definitely make an impact in the Performance Center and in his WWE career in general.
Fans will know Girard better as Biff Busick from the independent scene and the 29-year-old could also enjoy a successful career if he’s retained in the long run.
He has a lot of experience in various different promotions, ranging from EVOLVE, Pro Wrestling Guerilla and Dragon Gate USA so you can already imagine what sort of wrestler he is. The WWE fans love their indie superstars and Girard is another big addition under that bracket.
Reese – better known as Athena – is actually one of the best signings the WWE have made from the new recruits. Booker T will know exactly what she’s capable of as she’s trained with him and has experience in other promotions also, such as Ring of Honor.
It looks as if the WWE already have a lot of faith in her as she reportedly signed a deal in September, yet she’s competed on the NXT tapings where she defeated Peyton Royce. So it’s clear that she’s a bright talent who can have a big future and her finisher is also something special which will make her someone you need to keep an eye on.
Swann is probably the biggest name on the list to have signed and his arrival was rumoured for quite some time before a deal was finally struck.
The 24-year-old is a fantastic in-ring competitor and someone the NXT fans will absolutely love as he’s another indie star who will only go on to improve and can surely make a mark on NXT in the near future.
