Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher couldn’t resist taking a crafty dig at Ashley Young when the Manchester United winger stepped up to take a penalty against Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night.
While the shoot-out was taking place, Carragher and Jamie Redknapp could be heard on a separate stream offering their thoughts from the Sky Sports studio.
And when Young stepped up, Carragher commented - much to the amusement of his colleagues - “He’s usually the one who gets the penalties, isn’t he.” (Listen to the Carragher by clicking THIS link and fast-forwarding to Young's penalty at the end).

Carragher was, of course, making reference to the fact Young has won several dubious penalties in the past.
The England international also has a history of being booked for simulation, earning himself an unwanted reputation as a diver in the process.
As Young was running up to take his spot-kick, Carragher confidently stated: “Yeah, he’ll score.”
But the 30-year-old missed the decisive penalty as Manchester United were dumped out of the competition by their opponents from the Championship.
Belgium-born Brazilian teenager Andreas Pereira was the only United player to find a way past Boro goalkeeper Tomas Mejias.

United hoping to bounce back v Palace
Manchester United will now be looking to bounce back from that setback by securing all three points against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Many fans would like to see Rooney dropped after his poor performances this season, but an injury to Memphis Depay - check out the reaction to that news HERE - means the striker should continue upfront, with Anthony Martial out on the left flank.
