Memphis Depay's fall from grace has continued after he was left out of Holland's squad for the international friendlies with Wales and Germany.
The Manchester United winger has found game time hard to come by in recent weeks and has lost his place on the left wing to Frenchman Anthony Martial.
After being pulled off at half-time in the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal, Memphis has made just one start for the Red Devils - in the penalty shootout defeat to Championship side Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup.

Louis van Gaal fired a warning to the former PSV Eindhoven star in October, stating he had to embrace the Old Trafford club's philosophies, and now national team boss Danny Blind has questioned his teamwork.
Dutch football writer Elko Born has quoted Blind on Twitter after his decision to omit Memphis. The Holland boss said: "In football you must function in a team. He doesn't always do that."
Born also says the manager was unhappy with the youngsters decision not to talk to the press after Holland's defeat to the Czech Republic.
It is yet another setback for the 21-year-old, who is clearly struggling to come to terms with the intensity of the Premier League.
Although, Born suggests his absence from the squad is not a 'big deal', it is simply a case that he is not playing enough games.
To make matters worse for the forward, it appears he has dropped below academy graduate Jesse Lingard in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
It could be a long, hard road to recovery for Memphis, but one thing is for sure; his mentality will have to change if he is to earn the trust of Van Gaal.
