Liverpool playmaker Adam Lallana has revealed that Jurgen Klopp told his side that the points were there for the taking at half-time against Chelsea on Saturday.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, the England international also claims that the club's chief told players not to think about their counterpart's situation and to concentrate on their own game.
Drawing 1-1 at the interval, Klopp's side went on to secure a 3-1 win in west London thanks to a brace from Philippe Coutinho and a strike from substitute Christian Benteke.

In fact, the result handed Klopp his first Premier League win as boss of the Merseyside outfit and Lallana has insisted that the team deserved all three points.
When speaking about Coutinho's equaliser just before the half-time break at Stamford Bridge, the ex-Southampton wide-man stated: “It was a great time to score.
“It gave us a big lift. The manager’s message at half-time was - it’s there for us, the points are there for the taking.
“He said not to think about Chelsea’s situation and just to worry about us. It was all about us taking the next step forward.
“We wanted us to be positive and aggressive and we did that. We took control in the second half and deserved the points."
The result against Chelsea should give Klopp and Co. a major lift ahead of a busy schedule. With clashes against the likes of Crystal Palace and Manchester City on the horizon, the Reds will be desperate to come to prominence.
It won't be easy, of course; despite the wonderful result against Chelsea, Liverpool are by no means the finished article. They have a long way to go, but they have the talent to rise up the table sooner rather than later.
The technically gifted trio of Lallana, Coutinho and Roberto Firmino should all inspire Klopp's side throughout the course of the campaign.
