Manchester United supporters, a very warm welcome.

It’s our genuine hope that you’re holed up somewhere nice and cosy, with nothing to do but catch up on the latest football news concerning your club.

We understand that isn’t really pragmatic for most of you, but in any event we’re going to give you the news anyway. Read on below for more.

Pereira threesome claim

Andreas Pereira is a rising star on the pitch for Manchester United but off of it the situation isn't nearly as rosy.

He’s been forced to deny strong allegations levelled at him concerning an alleged threesome involving a female student and teammate Paddy McNair.

Back in March it was claimed that he had offered the girl in question £10,000 to have a threesome with himself and McNair, but he’s now rejected the speculation as being completely false.

In Pereira’s words ‘they will invent what they want to invent’.

"I was really surprised because it’s not true," the youngster told UOL Esporte - as relayed by the Daily Star.

"It was the first time that happened to me. But it’s part of things here [in England], I have to learn to deal with it.

"But I didn’t do anything.

"They will invent if they want to invent."

Ronaldo wanted Arsenal move

Moving on, and United’s fairytale years with Cristiano Ronaldo have been made all the sweeter after it was revealed that he initially wanted to join Premier League rivals Arsenal.

The player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, said he believed his client was heading to north London as he had fallen in love with the club.

It’s also claimed Arsene Wenger had the number nine shirt ready to give to him.

Kanchelskis slams LVG

Meanwhile, former United player Andrei Kanchelskis has labelled Louis van Gaal’s tactics as Red Devils boss as ‘disgustingly’ bad.

Very much following the suit of Paul Scholes - who has criticised Van Gaal publicly himself this term - Kanchelskis said United’s current manager was good, but not for them. Make of that what you will.

Fans don't seem too happy, either:
