Sports fans, a very warm welcome.

It’s our genuine hope that you’re holed up somewhere nice and cosy, with nothing to do but catch up on the latest sports news concerning the NBA and the NFL.

We understand that isn’t really pragmatic for most of you, but in any event we’re going to give you the news anyway. Read on below for more.

James breaks another record

It was determined long ago that LeBron James would take a place in the NBA Hall of Fame when he retires from professional basketball, but that doesn’t mean he can’t still smash records on his way to doing so.

The latest milestone to fall by the wayside is that of the youngest player ever to score 25,000 points.

James pulled off an alley-oop dunk during the Cavs' win over the Philadelphia 76ers last night, handing himself a career total of 25,001 points in the NBA.

At 30-years and 307 days, James now holds the flag. For how long, remains to be seen.

Bryant says he sucks

Elsewhere in the NBA, another legend of the game, Kobe Bryant, has slammed his own performances this season for the Los Angeles Lakers, going as far as to say he sucked.

Bryant was poor during the Lakers’ loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, only managing 3-of-15 shooting from the floor and hitting just two of his eight three-point attempts. He was less than impressed with his contribution, it seems.

Kaepernick dropped by 49ers

Across to the NFL, and the San Francisco 49ers have dropped quarterback Colin Kaepernick to the bench in favour of Blaine Gabbert.

The past two seasons have been nightmarish for Kaepernick, and his fall from grace appears to be complete.

The news was reported yesterday that he’s been put on the bench and, judging from his recent form, he might well stay there.

Here's what the fans think:

Luck admits he's hurting the Colts

Last but not least, Andrew Luck has admitted that he’s hurting the Indianapolis Colts at the moment, with the quarterback accepting that he hasn’t been on form so far this season.

The Colts are struggling currently and they weren’t helped when Luck threw three interceptions during last night’s loss to the Carolina Panthers. Luck, to his credit, said it was his problem and that he was ‘hurting the team’.
