Many of the WWE Universe took to social media following last night's edition of Raw after the Survivor Series inspired episode aired a big inaccuracy.
WWE were celebrating the fact that the 29th Anniversary of Survivor Series is in just three weeks time by having a five on five elimination match as the main event as well as showing packages from previous shows throughout the night.
WAS STING AT SURVIVOR SERIES?
The video package in question was the 2014 Survivor Series match which famously included the debut of the vigilante, who came into the match and dragged Dolph Ziggler on top of Seth Rollins to allow Team John Cena the win which in turn meant that The Authority were out of power.

This was not reflected in the package however, it instead showed Dolph hitting the ZigZag on Kane before he rolled up Luke Harper and then hit a ZigZag on Rollins thus single-handedly securing the win for his team and keeping his job in the process.
Anyone who saw Survivor Series last year knows that this portrayal of events is inaccurate, but why would WWE erase Sting?
WILL STING RETURN THIS YEAR?
Survivor Series this year is going to be a celebration of Undertaker's 25 years in WWE, but it is also Sting's one year anniversary, so will he be making an appearance?
The Icon has only had two matches in WWE since his debut last year and he has lost them both, one to Triple H at WrestleMania 31 and to Seth Rollins a few months ago at Night of Champions.
Sting was injured in his match against Rollins, but since then there has been no news on the WCW legend and it is now unknown if he will return to the company.
Rumours lately suggest that he could make an appearance at Survivor Series to set up the match against Undertaker at next year's Showcase of the Immortals, but these rumours are yet to lead to any confirmation.
As for WWE reasons for completely erasing him from a memorable piece of history? No one knows. Could it be The Authority doesn't want to relive the embarrassment? Or maybe Sting has made the wrong enemy backstage? Either way, Sting has been erased from one of the biggest WWE moments in recent memory, surely there will be a reason why?
