If any member of the WWE Universe was asked to name their Divas match of the year, it is more than likely their answer would not be one which involved two women from the main WWE roster.
This is because, when Sasha Banks and Bayley took to the ring during 2015, the NXT branch of WWE provided a whole new take on what it means to be a professional female wrestler in this modern day.
Many described Sasha and Bayley's encounters as some of the best female wrestling ever to have taken place within WWE.

Although it was undoubtedly so, the current state of the Divas Division on the main WWE roster seemingly meant it was not hugely difficult for these NXT stars to prove their worth.
With an unfortunate series of ongoing irrelevant story lines combined with forgettable matches, it is clear WWE do not prioritise their female talent with regard to the rest of the company.

It is unquestionable that the WWE Divas Division is in desperate need of a change and what better way to bring about this much-needed help than with someone who has put on a match of the year performance in 2015.
Sasha Banks' final NXT match against Bayley was memorable, poignant and certainly one which showcased the incredible abilities of both professional female wrestlers.
With this in mind, WWE must act upon the fact they now have Banks under their wing on the main roster as she could set the standard for many of the WWE Divas who have received a lack of clear direction for some time.
What is possible even more impressive and beneficial to WWE is that Banks is just 23-years-old, meaning both she and the company have several years to promote her and ultimately, turn the Divas Division around.
This is not to say that it is down to Banks alone to save what is quickly becoming a forgotten-about part of the business, but for the WWE Universe alone, more focus on her is something which will be welcomed with open arms.
Realistically, there is nothing which Sasha Banks does not have in terms of being the ideal WWE female superstar.
She possesses characteristics which are reminiscent of previously hugely admired female WWE wrestlers such as Trish Stratus and Lita and seems to have the added spark which so many current Divas lack.
This in turn, leaves the WWE Universe wondering why exactly it is taking the company so long to give her the push which not only she deserves, but what is needed for both WWE and its fans.
