Arsenal round-up: Arsene Wenger says he will never sign Spurs' Harry Kane

Published 1 Comments

Arsenal fans, hello and welcome.

First and foremost we’d like to urge you to stifle the end of week excitement for just another few minutes while you take the time to ingest all the biggest rumours and news pieces to be found today.

A weekend of football awaits. Go forth, enjoy, and please don’t hesitate to tell us if you think we’ve got something wrong - there’s a comments box provided below.

Kane interest is Kaput

You’d think that Arsene Wenger would be keen to sign natural born goalscorers whenever possible, but the Frenchman has confirmed that he will never look to sign Harry Kane while the striker remains at Tottenham Hotspur.

When quizzed over the possibility of being interested in landing Spurs hot-shot Kane, Wenger said - as per ESPN - that once a player is at Tottenham he doesn’t even consider them anymore.

"He has great qualities and he will make a great career," Wenger said of Kane.

"But once a player is at Spurs you don't even consider him anymore."

Kane scored two goals against Arsenal the last time the north London derby was played in the Premier League - he’ll have another chance to terrorise Wenger this weekend.

Szczesny an 'uncontrollable lunatic'

In other, more peculiar, news, ex-Juventus goalkeeper Stefano Tacconi has labelled Wojciech Szczesny an ‘uncontrollable lunatic’ who is ‘completely mad’, stating that AS Roma are taking a risk using him as their number one goalkeeper.

The Arsenal stopper, on loan in Italy, has just one clean sheet in 12 appearances this season - safe to say Petr Cech isn’t worried about losing his place.

Musonda interest

And, lastly, Wenger is interested in securing the services of highly-rated Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda, if reports are to be believed.

There’s strong interest from French giants AS Monaco in Musonda, who may look to abandon the Stamford Bridge ship in January because of a lack of first-team opportunities.

Wenger, of course, is no stranger to developing burgeoning talent. That might well be his most valuable weapon in this particular race.
