If and when Jose Mourinho is replaced as Chelsea manager there is sure to be a long list of stellar bosses lining up to take over the Stamford Bridge reigns.
Step forward Diego Simeone, who is apparently a new frontrunner for the west London role as he’s looking like quitting Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2016.
One interesting element of this rumour is that he supposedly would want to demand that big changes are made before he took over, according to the Daily Mirror.
It’s believed Simeone wants control over transfers and the ability to push for major investment as well.
That said, it’s still Mourinho in the hot-seat at the moment, and the Special One is busy trying to save his own job.
Certain reports claim he wants to axe a number of this season's Stamford Bridge flops in January and has begged Roman Abramovich to allow him to do so.
Will he? We’ll have to wait and find out. On that note, could any of the below be set for the chop?
And to finish, one man who doesn’t look like being in line to replace Mourinho is former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who, of course, has worked at Stamford Bridge before.
The Northern Irishman was said to be interested in taking the role if offered it, but new reports say the club are reluctant to turn to him.
The reason? There’s apparently some ill feelings towards Rodgers than come from the Blues’ boardroom.
