Aqib Talib accused of eye-gouging in Broncos' loss to the Colts

Published 1 Comments

The Indianapolis Colts ran out 27-24 winners over the Denver Broncos in Indiana yesterday, but the game’s major talking point was the apparent eye gouge delivered by Aqib Talib. The Broncos cornerback was caught on camera giving opponent Dwayne Allen a poke that Ric Flair would have been proud of, conceding a 15-yard penalty for the offense. He supposedly said after the match that the gouge wasn’t intentional and that he was instead aiming to push Allen’s head. From where we’re standing his fingers accurately go through the opening in the helmet and straight into Allen’s eye, but who are we to call him a liar? Meanwhile in the NBA, refs may have caused controversy during the Saturday game between the Rockets and the Clippers. The league said after the match, which Houston won, that Dwight Howard should have been whistled for goaltending at the end of the fixture. Perhaps, then, the game should have ended in a tie.
