Back in March, Manchester United's Wayne Rooney attracted headlines after taking a sucker punch from former teammate Phil Bardsley whilst boxing in his kitchen.
But it looks like the England captain's reactions have improved since then after a video surfaced this evening showing him taking down another North West foe in one fell swoop.
Fortunately, though, for United and Louis Van Gaal, this incident shouldn't generate any negative headlines - largely because Rooney's 'victim' was WWE Superstar Wade Barrett and the whole thing was part of the wrestling company's UK tour.

With Rooney having come in for criticism in recent weeks after some abject performances on the pitch, it sounds like Barrett, originally from Lancashire and a Preston fan, was busy taunting him for his poor form before the Man Utd star took things into his own hands.
Indeed, according to Wrestling Online, via Balls.ie the British wrestler, after seeing Rooney, had told the packed out Manchester venue that the 'only two championship material people were in the ring.'
Although the 'slap' was little more than a good sell from the WWE Superstar, you can imagine Rooney has probably been wanted to do that to quite a few people over the past few weeks after his on-field struggles.
However, despite his recent struggles in his day job, it looks like the striker's hometown crowd were still on his side judging by the huge cheer that accompanied his takedown of the WWE star.
Still, if WWE want to recruit a professional footballer into their ranks, they might want to get Bardsley on the phone rather than giving Rooney a shot at the title belt anytime soon.
