Mamadou Sakho ruled out for two months with injury

Published Add your comment

Just when the going was good for Mamadou Sakho a cruel twist of fate has threatened to derail his season with Liverpool. The French defender is expected to be out for as long as two months with a knee injury, having fallen awkwardly during the loss to Crystal Palace at the weekend. Sakho did avoid suffering a cruciate injury - one that would have inevitably been far worse - but all the same a scan on Monday confirmed that Jurgen Klopp is going to have to fiddle with his back-line for the foreseeable future. Now, Jordon Ibe is another who is enjoying the current campaign, and he’s revealed that he wants to become Liverpool’s version of Robert Lewandowski, in that he’s nurtured by Klopp until he becomes one of the best in the world. Hopefully he won’t do a Lewandowski and become a great player before moving to a fierce rival. Nobody wants that.
