Mario Chalmers confirms move to the Memphis Grizzlies from Miami Heat

Published 2 Comments

Bringing an end to hours of speculation, the Miami Heat have confirmed that Mario Chalmers is leaving the franchise for the Memphis Grizzlies, calling time on a career with the franchise that has lasted since 2008. The Heat tweeted yesterday to wish Chalmers good luck in the future, with ESPN reporting today that his move - alongside that of forward James Ennis - will see Beno Udrih and Jarnell Stokes head the other way. Chalmers himself tweeted to say it had been an honour and a privilege to play in Miami. In the NFL, meanwhile, Andrew Luck will miss between two to six weeks with a lacerated kidney he picked up during the win over the Denver Broncos. The Colts have made it known that the problem won’t require surgery and is expected to heal in due course - Luck’s absence, though, could be a headache moving forward.
